Tools

ERI_Lookup – Analyses your trades and calculates the Excess Reportable Income on your offshore funds (e.g. ETFs). Any excess taxable income should be declared to HMRC and also added to the cost base of your shares for capital gains calculations so that you don’t pay tax twice. This tool should always be used when submitting reports to HMRC if your portfolio has offshore funds, even if you only have accumulating ETFs and have not sold any. Most broker reports do not include ERI but it is an HMRC requirement.

TrendTracker – Quickly make multiple portfolios and show a price chart. Use the sliders to adjust the timeline (1 month – 10 years) and the smoothing. This allows you to easily compare price movements. Quickly look up details of any stock on various sites.

Div&Int Calculator – This tool extracts and combines the Dividend and Interest data from multiple broker CSVs. It should give similar results to the Dividend and Interest data in your brokers tax year report (please compare). It does not include ERI dividends and interest however so you will need to manually add ERI to any Foreign Interest or Dividend numbers in your tax return.

StockWatcher – keep track of all your shares and get notifications on your smartphone if the price changes. Prices are checked every 30 seconds.
